Safe Days to Avoid Unwanted Pregnancy and Unplanned Pregnancy

Some of my only married with-a-baby pals are so cool and amazing that they are convincing me to have a baby next week. They have a one-year-old baby who is even chilled out at Brooklyn bars (i.e., before bedtime). However, when it is time for a nappy change, I am like Oh No! A big shout out to my Intrauterine device (IUD), seriously, what would I do in the absence of it?

Maybe just planned a sexual activity on particular days to prevent unplanned pregnancy, which I just cultured any women can do.

So here are some essential tips to know about the safe days to stay away from unwanted pregnancy.

1. When you are not in your fertile period:

According to the research, you are in the majority fertile period when you are near to your ovulation, and there is a high risk that you may get pregnant. As the egg stays for about 24 hours post-ovulation and the semen stays for about five days after the sexual activity. So your body is fertile for approximately six days of every menstrual period, also known as the five days before you ovulate and the day on which you ovulate. In addition to this, you have less chance of getting pregnant a day or two after the ovulation cycle.

2. How to keep track of your fertility?

Some experts recommend using a few methods to figure out the process of when you are ovulating. They are discussed below.

  • The Temperature Method - It monitors your temperature on a regular basis.

  • The Cervical Mucus Method - It keeps track of your vaginal discharge.

  • The Calendar Method - It counts your periods on a calendar basis.

  • The Standard Days Method - It tracks your menstrual cycle for several months, in the off chance to figure it out if your menstrual cycle is constant between 26-32 days long. However, in case your menstrual cycle is shorter or longer, the method is hardly ineffective.

Moreover, if you are scheduling or monitoring your cycle to find out the secure and safest days to have your sexual movements to avoid pregnancy and to prevent from taking the abortion pill later, you can go for applications such as the natural cycle.

It is always recommended that when it comes to birth control, take a secure and wise decision that is beneficial for you as well as for your health.
